I'd never thought about it before, but that does rather sum up our culture's view of who is valuable. We don't, and I've had to guard my heart so that I don't covet when I see all of the lovely, lovely pictures floating around the internet of others' school rooms. I don't even have the wall space for lots of educational posters.
